We're in the process of reviewing how our staff work at our service
points within the library, and need to implement a system where staff
move between the issue desk and a nearby enquiry desk at 30 minute
intervals.
If anyone has staff who are rotated between service points in this way,
I'd love to know how you manage the timetabling of this. I'm concerned
that, because of the number of staff we have working in the area at any
one time, I may get people who don't like working on the enquiry point
manipulating an informal timetabling agreement so they never have to
work there, so am looking to creating a more formal structure to manage
this.
