Hi everyone
I was watching the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics , today the 24th of August . I understand that the Paralympics are only starting next week. What segregationists message is that about Athletes with disabilities? Sport is one of the most liberating cultural component in society , So why are the Paralympics still a social afterthought ?
Dose anyone know of a logical reason –which I fail to understand- as to why this is still happening?
The challenge is now in the path of the UK, the country that gave us the Social model and that which will host the next summer games to challenge this segregationists practice.
It is my hope that before leaving office mayor Sam Sullivan did something in that respect for the winter Olympics.
