Job Description
You will be project coordinator of European and national research and advice
projects handling transport economy, pricing policies and general
equilibrium models. You will be authorized advisor with the Belgian and
European governments and with companies and sector organizations. You will
maintain extended contacts with clients and networks within the transport
policy area in Belgium and abroad. You will write publications, and
contribute to the market acquisition in the transport domain.
Profile
- You are an economist or engineer with a strong economical background
- You have 10 years of experience in transport policy, modelling, research
and project acquisition
- You are interested in analytical questions on society, transport and
environment
- You are up to date with the latest developments on transport and
economical modelling, and on the Belgian and European transport policy
- You have good skills in communication, languages and writing.

Transport & Mobility Leuven studies the problems that occur with mobility
and logistics. TML research focuses on traffic management, transport
economics, environment, traffic safety and the consequences for society.
Important clients are the European Commission, international organizations,
national, local and regional governments and the commercial sector.
Our knowledge is based on the latest developments in economic theory and
traffic engineering. We can do this thanks to our close relation with our
founders: the Belgian university KU Leuven and the Dutch research institute
TNO.
