Hi Roman,
a bit more detail regarding your design would be needed to say anything
useful here...
For example, for a rapid er-fmri design this could also mean you had
dependencies between conditions (best to be avoided when designing), and
what you see here as a deactivation could be the subtracted or modeled
activation from another modeled condition overlapping in a dependent
manner with your condition of interest.
