Comparatively Young Patrick,
When the Portuguese ambassador introduced me to Manoel de Oliveira at an in-person
screening of his "Christopher Columbus Was Portuguese" at the American Film Institute in
Silver Spring, he was merely 99. Amongst the introductory remarks was a mention of
two films "in production", but I could only find traces of one today on the internet. In
addition to directing the film about Columbus, he also acted in it (and the role was
major).
