Yes, but the what are they if not paintings of lettering are amazing,
beautiful, colour almost abstract; I was knocked out by the one I saw
in Kettles Yard.
His medievalism in the paintings, yes, perhaps a bit too fey (which
cannot be said of The Anathemata).
