medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I would take a look at the history of apophatic theology. Bernard McGinn's
major study of mysticism should be of help here. Pseudo-Dionysius and John
Scotus Eriugena were also a part of this tradition. I would also take a
look at the translated Summa of Aquinas and Bonaventure. Finally, do not
limit yourself to theological texts. Vacuums and voids were extensively
discussed in scientific literature. Try keywording the related words in
the International Medieval Bibliography as a guide.
Best,
Daniel
