Prior to the beginning of August, the following message was to be found on
their homepage:
"The Biomed Image Archive will be going out of service from 31 July 2008
due to changes to national authorisation access procedures in the UK, and
that this service has been unfunded since 2005.
With thanks to University of Bristol, the UK Funding Councils, JISC and
Academy Subject Centre MEDEV, and all the image donors, users, etc. world
wide who have contributed to development, maintenance and value of this
service. It may re-emerge under a new guise in the UK but at present this
is undetermined. Please do not continue to reference materials in this
resource beyond July 2008 as this service will be taken down."
