Mike,
A route not well known in the UK to work in Ireland is to apply to IRCSET www.ircset.ie for funding. It is open to any
EU citizen. The money is good, so it is highly competitive. You need, before applying, to agree a project. I suggest you trawl a few Irish department
web pages to see if anyone might have a suitable topic or interest?

Dear all,
My name is Mike Sizer and I am a recent M.Sc. by research graduate
from the university of Leeds.
I am looking to enter into employment or to undertake a Ph.D. and
whilst I have searched through obvious routes I would be most grateful
to hear of any opportunities not widely advertised.
With Regards
Mike Sizer
