Hello all,
Apologies for cross-posting.
I'm looking for a good book or journal article comparing special ed or
inclusion-related laws and policies in Canada and the U.S. I've searched
using the usual academic routes (e.g., indexes) and in a desperate moment I
even tried Google (aigh - needed a strong drink after that experience).
Alas, I haven't had any luck finding something. My colleagues are shrugging
and at a loss. Even the Council for Exceptional Children, the major
professional organization for U.S. and Canadian special educators, doesn't
really have any good resources. At this point, I'd even settle for a really
good book about Canadian special ed. Part of the problem may be that Canada
gives so much authority to the provinces, but I suspect I'm missing some
obvious things out there, and would appreciate any assistance or advice.
Thanks,
Wendy Harbour
