Hi there,
Mike Adams and Paul Brown did some research for the National Disability
Team which resulted in a HEFCE publication entitled 'Disability and
Higher Education: The Australian Experience'. It might be worth tracking
that down.
Best wishes, Marie

Subject: Neesd assessors in New Zealand and Canada?
Hello
Can anyone help me with this knotty question to which I have to date
failed
to find a reply?
Are there equivalents of the UK Needs Assessor role for disabled
students in
New Zealand, Australia, Canada and South Africa? I need to find this out
and
how best to contact the relevant agencies (and which ones they are) but
have so far drawn a blank.
Also - do these countries support dyslexic students and school pupils to
the
extent that is the case in the UK? Either I have completely failed to
find the
relevant information or there is in fact a different level of support.
Any help gratefully reveived on this one.
