with regard to what is "guaranteed"--usually you get a mass spec /
HPLC etc
sheets telling you what the real purity is. checking that is certainly
worthwhile.
i would perhaps first try with 95% pure and then if not good enough
purify further.
this purity scale has worked ok for us.
