Some students are reporting issues accessing Turnitin items. I've skimmed
the various lists and notice people posting issues relating to Turnitin but
just wondered if anyone could cast any light on the following:
When a student clicks on the 'view/complete' link underneath the Turnitin
item, some get a blank page, others get an error message along the lines of:
"Blackboard Integration Errror. Error 400. Creating new user failed".
I've successfully been able to replicate the blank page problem but not the
error message. It seems if I quick enroll into a module I can access the
item via 'view/complete'. If I then quick unenroll I get the same blank
page as the students are reporting, suggesting it's something to do with
enrollments... however.. I've done the obvious such as checking the students
are actually enrolled in each course and they are... there's nothing wrong
with their enrollment records..
I know you can't copy Turnitin items but in my experience that throws a
different error consistently - none of this blank page/creating new user failed.
I've sent a ticket to Turnitin but in the mean time if anyone can shed any
light on this I'd be grateful.
