Epidemiologist, Statistician or Biologist (Postdoc)
Required qualification:
• Applicants should have a relevant graduate qualification in natural
science such as biology with additional qualification in Epidemiology, Public
Health or Statistics
• Experience in design and analyses of genetic-epidemiological studies
• Experience in statistical analysis such as SAS or R are preferable
Main duties and responsibilities:
• To provide input from a genetic aspect to the ongoing longitudinal
epidemiological studies, which aim to investigate the role of environmental and
genetic influences on the development of allergies, respiratory diseases and
chronic inflammatory diseases
• To identify SNPs based on hypothesised biological mechanisms and
perform statistical analysis with SAS, Haplostats or R
• Publications
The successful candidate will be working independently as well as
collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research center with first authorship
publications. Appointment will be made for an initial period three years with a
standard German public service salary (TVÖD)
