There are excellent opportunities for Statistical Modelers with one of the
global giants in the pharmaceutical world, known as a leading name in the
discovery, development and marketing of innovative pharmaceutical products.
They have 7 positions available at their office in East Hanover NJ, from fresh
PhD or post grads with relevant skills in Pharmaceutical Statistical modeling, to
Senior Expert Modeler with extensive experience within the pharmaceutical
industry.
JOB ROLE: Statistical Modelers support projects and functions throughout
R&D, with model-based planning, clinical trial design, evaluations, integrated
analysis, and reporting and support decision-making by pre-clinical or clinical
teams with Modeling & Simulation (M&S)-based input.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Developing, evaluating and reporting models that describe
compound- or disease-related data.
Models include, but not limited to, mixed effects models, Bayesian
Statistics, Decision Analysis, mechanistic or physiological, biochemical,
biophysical, PK/PD.
At project levels, providing support for phase transitions and/or
development plans.
Providing study design support for clinical trial development.
Demonstrating scientific leadership in M&S activities for R&D
projects.
Identifying and implementing opportunities for innovative study
designs and M&S applications.
Ensuring the integration and sharing of M&S tools and
developments within all M&S groups and R&D functions.
Senior positions:
Projects include compound selection, exploratory clinical
development, and late development.
Applying established or dedicated M&S techniques to data of an in
vitro, in vivo, and/or clinical nature, acquired from disease- or compound-
specific studies.
Interacting with Health Authorities and external collaborators as
appropriate.
Actively contributing to the reviewing and implementation of
regulatory guidance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
PhD Candidates will be considered at a level appropriate to
experience.
Experience in applying M&S to pharmaceutical R&D.
Knowledge in some of the following modeling areas: statistics,
learning algorithms, PK/PD, molecular pathways, biology, tissue effects,
pathophysiology.
Background medical knowledge.
Knowledge of relevant software packages.
Good data exploration skills.
The ability to interact effectively with both management and
teams.
SENIOR POSITIONS requirements:
Knowledge of the Drug R&D process, including clinical development
modeling and HA guidelines, as relevant to M&S.
Understanding of heterogeneous data
The ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse
scientific backgrounds.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Good business ethics.
Well-developed organizational skills.
