This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Statistical Programmers to
work for a leading global CRO that has a record of phenomenal success in the
market place with the result that they have helped to develop or
commercialise every single one of the worlds top 30 selling drugs. They are
seeking candidates with experience from the pharmaceutical industry and have
vacancies for 2 Statistical Programmers, office based at their UK site in
Berkshire.
JOB ROLE: The Statistical Programmer provides advanced technical expertise
as part of the Statistical Programming team to develop and maintain
programmes that meet internal and external clients needs. He/she will plan
and lead the development of project-related solutions to the full scope of
statistical programming tasks and provide technical expertise to the Statistical
Programming department.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Programming, testing, and documentation of statistical programmes
for use in creating statistical tables and listing summaries.
Programming of analysis databases and transfers of data for internal
and external clients.
Programming of database quality control checks.
Programming the integration of databases from multiple studies or
sources.
Developing and planning programming documentation including plans
and specifications.
Providing advanced technical expertise in conjunction with internal
and external clients.
Performing and planning the development, implementation and
validation of new process technologies, macros and applications.
Managing project budget and resource requirements.
Providing training and guidance to lower level and new staff.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and
significant relevant experience in the clinical research industry.
Knowledge of statistics and/or clinical drug development process.
Working knowledge of statistical computing applications such as
Base SAS, SAS/STAT and SAS Macro Language.
PERSONAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
Good organisational, interpersonal, leadership and communication
skills.
Multi-tasking skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
