Programmer in Biomedical Informatics - Cambridge
£25,000 - £30,000 per annum
We are looking for a Programmer in Biomedical Informatics to join the MRC
Centre for Nutritional Epidemiology in Cancer Prevention and Survival
(www.srl.acm.ac.uk/cnc). The post holder will work with the CNC's UK
Consortium members in order to institute databases for the pooling of
dietary exposures, as well as to instigate and implement procedures for
linkage between cohort studies and hospital admission data.
The ideal applicant will hold a first degree in a numerate subject or a
masters in bioinformatics, statistics or computer science. Knowledge of
relational databases and experience of data handling, as well as knowledge
of statistical software such as Stata, SAS or R, are essential.
The post holder will have excellent organisation and communication skills,
and be able to work effectively across the UK Consortium, and as part of the
Informatics team.

This position is on a fixed term contract for 2 years with salary dependant
on qualifications and experience, supported by competitive terms of
employment (30 days annual leave, MRC's final salary pension scheme)
