FACULTY OF HEALTH, INSTITUTE FOR PRIMARY CARE AND HEALTH SCIENCES, KEELE
UNIVERSITY
ARTHRITIS RESEARCH CAMPAIGN NATIONAL PRIMARY CARE CENTRE
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN BIOSTATISTICS
Starting Salary: Grade 7 £28,290
Following our success in being awarded the status of Arthritis Research
Campaign National Primary Care Centre, and a National Institute of
Health Research Programme we now wish to expand our team of methodologists.
The Centre has a large and dynamic research programme in Pain and
Osteoarthritis, underpinned by a wealth of cohort and trial data-sets,
with linkage to medical records, available for analysis. You will work
as part of a team of methodologists, who include experienced
bio-statisticians, health psychologists and health economists, to
provide high quality methodological support to an established
multi-disciplinary research group.
You will also contribute to the development of quantitative research
skills across the centre’s research teams, and will provide statistical
advice to other research groups, as part of our remit to provide a
Research Design Service. Prior experience of quantitative health
research and a Master’s degree in statistics or a similar subject are
essential, as are excellent interpersonal, communication and
organisational skills to work with multi-disciplinary teams. You will
hold a substantive academic post within the Methodology Research Group
in the Centre.
