Applications are invited for a post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, which is available from 1 January 2009. You should hold a PhD, and be able to demonstrate excellent research strengths in an area of Statistics or Probability, be keen to promote interdisciplinary contacts and be committed to high-quality teaching. Candidates with expertise in any area of statistics, probability or financial mathematics are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in statistics or in financial mathematics. Current research interests in the Division include Markov processes, stochastic analysis, stochastic epidemic models, optimal control theory, Bayesian statistics, non-parametric statistics, time series, and financial mathematics.
The post attracts a special HEFCE-funded "Golden Hello" to the value of £9K, subject to individuals satisfying the eligibility criteria.
