Friends,
Travelling about, I've dipped into the current series of parallel threads
and tried to keep up in digest format. Fascinating, lucid conversation for
both the contrasts and confluences. Now that I am sitting in one place for a
couple weeks -- my about-to-be-former home on the Oslo fjord -- I may try to
contribute.
For now, may I make a request? I would be helpful if those who reply to a
specific concept in prior posts would edit out the rest -- I'm seeing some
of the same material go by time and again, and it makes it hard to follow
the threads in a lucid way.
I understand that people in OTHER fields create cluttered, jumbled lists
with goo9d content buried in reams of >>>>>> reply arrows and the fragments
and scraps of ideas no longer relevant to the reply at hand.
What I do not understand is that we should do so.
We are, after all, designers. We should be able to shape clear, coherent
replies that permit those who try to follow a thread to do so with ease.
Yours,
Ken Friedman
