CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
DesignEd Asia an annual event, part of the very successful Hong Kong
Business of Design Week and is specifically dedicated to design
education. Culture and cross-cultural collaboration become of a great
importance for design education as we learn from and respect each other.
Therefore this year we are trying to reach an objective view on the
local and global beliefs & desires, aesthetic preferences and cultural
values in the context of design education.
This year's main theme is Culture as Inspiration. DesignEd Asia
Conference 2008 invites abstracts submissions in the main theme and the
following sub-themes:
1. Aesthetic & Culture
2. Cultural Belief & User Behavior
3. Creativity, Innovation & Culture
4. Design Education in the East & West, & Culture
The abstract submissions should be of 500 words of a maximum length.
Submissions are invited on significant, original, and previously
unpublished cases and research in the domain of design education. The
abstract will be reviewed on a double blind basis. The accepted papers
will be asked to submit a paper of 4000 words of a maximum length. The
accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings book and
the authors will be invited to make a 20 minute presentation at the
conference.

* Presenter's names and affiliations,
* abstract limited to 500 words and a bibliography.
