The Grant Museum of Zoology, UCL is seeking an enthusiastic Documentation Assistant to identify, catalogue, and research those specimens in the Grant Museum's spirit store which are yet to be fully documented. They will undertake research regarding specimen origins, taxonomy, geographic location and other information and transfer this information to paper and electronic record. This post will be also responsible for providing access to material for museum users.
This appointment is part-time at 60% FTE and is available for 12 months (due to funding limitation). Salary on Grade 5: £18,180 per annum -
£21,072 per annum pro-rata plus London Allowance of £2,649 per annum pro-rata.
Applicants should hold a relevant degree (e.g. zoology/biology) and have working knowledge of animal taxonomy. Experience of documenting natural history collections is essential.
