Hello,
I've tried around a little bit more. Maybe the mesa library isn't the main
source for the problems.
As mentioned before the precompiled version here in the institute worked fine.
This version has been compiled with the python, mesa and tcl/tk versions
provided on your homepage. Now I've tried to find out whether it's a mesa,
python or tcl/tk problem by compiling CCPNMR by using different combinations
from these libraries from you homepage. After compilation I tried to open a
spectra with OpenGL enabled.
My installed versions:
tcl/tk 8.5.2
python 2.5.2
mesa 7.0.3
Here are the results:
packages used spectra opens (yes/no)
python, mesa, tcl/tk yes
python, mesa no
python, tcl/tk no
python no
mesa, tcl/tk yes [1]
mesa no
tcl/tk yes [1]
[1] In both version a window supposed to show the spectra opens, but no peaks
are visible. (hey, at least CCPNMR doesn't crash :-) ). The error message is
something like:
Exception in Tkinter callback
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib64/python2.5/lib-tk/Tkinter.py", line 1403, in __call__
return self.func(*args)
File
"/homes/roeben/bin/src/ccpnmr/ccpnmr1.0/python/ccpnmr/analysis/WindowPopup.py",
line 3598, in motion
w = canvas.canvas_width
AttributeError: WindowCanvas instance has no attribute 'canvas_width'
Maybe it isn't a mesa problem at all?
best regards
Marco
