JOB TITLE: Senior Statistical Programmer

Hays Pharma are delighted to announce that we are offering an excellent
opportunity to join a leading, niche Biopharma based at their European
HQ. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the
following: provide general SAS programming support to Clinical Research
and Development, under the direction of a statistician, generate tables,
listings and graphs for interim analyses, preliminary reports and Final
Clinical/Statistical Reports for in-house use, publications, or
regulatory submissions, do data mining in order to help medical
interpretation of medical affairs and clinical researchers, provide
input regarding improvements and enhancements to an existing SAS macro
library.
You will work as part of the clinical team in the preparation of
table/listing/figure shells in the statistical analysis plan, validate
the work of other programmers & prepare SAS datasets and appropriate
documentation for electronic submissions.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Bachelor's degree in life science, statistics, mathematics, computer
science, or related field required; Master's degree preferred,
pharmaceutical or CRO industry experience as a SAS programmer supporting
clinical trials for regulatory submissions. In depth knowledge of all
relevant SAS procedures and processes including interfaces with other
systems (EXCEL, MS Word tables, Oracle Clinical), MS Office products
(Word, Excel), Clinical trial design, clinical trial statistics.
Fundamentals of Oracle Clinical, SQL, EDC system would be a strong plus
as would knowledge of other programming language (S+,R) would be
appreciated. You will need to have excellent interpersonal, written and
oral communication and organizational skills & be a team player.
