Please remember the list rules prohibit list use for commercial activity.. we're quite relaxed about it when the conversation naturally swings to a place where someone is asked directly about a product or service, but otherwise it's not really fair.
Thanks

Hi Tom,
Have you thought of using an e-Portfolio?
You could test out my system for free for a few months. For students in
some sort of formal education I charge £2 per year and for adults £8.00pa
We can configure the startup template as you wish and then other users can
modify preferences etc.
Please phone me if you are interested or look at my website (admittedly
written with schoolteachers in mind)

Subject: [VLES] Free public learning space
Can anyone help with an enquiry in my non-work capacity please? I lead
a group studying Attic Greek grammar. We work by e-mail doing weekly
assignments which are sent to me; I collate these and distribute the
collated version back, and we then reflect individually on the
variations in answers. I've dedicated a page on my blog to resources
for the group.
But we could do so much more. What we need is a public electronic
learning space. It needs to:
a) be free to use
b) be easy to use (technical abilities vary)
c) support non-Roman script (Greek, that is)
b) open to anyone. The study group is made up of members of a wide
range of institutions and some with no institutional affiliation, from
several different countries
I suppose what I'm looking for is some public-spirited people who have
implemented Moodle or Blackboard and allow outsiders a bit of space.
It sounded like the sort of Web2.0 thing that must have happened
somewhere I can't find it anywhere
All leads gratefully received
Tom
