Hi All,
I would look to the Anti-terrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001 s.102,
which brings into effect the: "Retention of Communications Data under
Part 11: Anti-Terrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001. Voluntary Code of
Practice"
The Code sets out a retention period of 12 Months for phone data. Link
to the Code is:

Subject: retention of telephone recordings
Apologies if this has been covered before.
Can anyone assist with how long telephone recordings need to be kept? I
am aware that it is actually the subject of the recording which should
have the retention period applied to it, but I am not sure that is
practical.
How do others manage this? I have also heard a rumour about new guidance
from the FSA and wondered if anyone knew if this applied to local
government?
Thanks
