What we get in Melbourne is the two solstices not too extreme and the four
seasons but more temperate than in the UK.
Right now wattles are bright yellow and the earliest magnolias showing off their
white blossom before the leafage joins in.
Melbourne folk who can afford midwinter trips fly to Queensland for tropical
warmth.
