medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
If I remember correctly, Christopher was dropped from the General Roman Calendar during the post-Vatican II liturgical reforms for "lack of historical
evidence" reasons. Accounts of the saints lives in the Calendar were also modified to eliminate questionable, spurious or fanciful hagiography.
I've got the document around someplace if I wasn't so lazy.
