Visit to the Royal Society of Medicine Library, 14th August 2.00pm to
4.00pm
The Royal Society of Medicine is an independent, apolitical
organisation, founded 200 years ago. The Library is one of the largest
postgraduate biomedical libraries in Europe, with a total collection of
over half a million volumes dating back to the 15th century. The Library
acquires current postgraduate clinical and research material in all the
main specialities of medicine, as well as areas such as medical history,
biography, health statistics and health management.
The visit will include a general tour of the Library and will cover in
detail our rare books and journal collections, literature search
services, information skills programme and document delivery services.
Places are limited to 15 so book early to avoid disappointment.
Venue is on 1st floor but there is a lift.
