SwetsWise gets primed for the renewal season with Release 5.1

Swets announced today the successful launch of SwetsWise - Release 5.1,
the latest technical update to its pioneering portfolio of products and
services. Release 5.1 implements a whole host of additional features and
functionalities into SwetsWise Subscriptions, the core focus of the
SwetsWise portfolio and the most comprehensive and sophisticated
subscriptions management and procurement service currently available.

The main feature of SwetsWise 5.1 is the inclusion of:

*	Bulk renewal functionality
		This new feature will allow the customer to manage their
entire renewal process online, following existing renewal workflows and
procedures, while reducing the amount of work they have to invest in
this process. It will also provide the customer with the information
needed to stay in complete control of the status of all their renewal
subscriptions, including cancellation restrictions and upgrade options.

"The renewal season is a critical time for everyone involved in our
industry. Being able to transfer and manage the entire process online
will reduce the time it normally takes to handle this process
significantly," said Thomas Snyder, Swets' Chief Commercial Officer.
"The inclusion of this important and innovative functionality is another
clear example of how SwetsWise is fulfilling its promise of being
everything you need to acquire, access and manage your subscriptions."

The other main features of Release 5.1 are:

*	Cancellation Restrictions Tracking
		Subscriptions can have cancellation restrictions
attached to them as a result of specific arrangements the customer has
made with a publisher. SwetsWise Subscriptions will track this
information on an individual subscription level. Any cancellation
restrictions attached to a subscription will be clearly visible and the
'cancel' option will be removed so as to avoid any unnecessary errors.  

*	Improved Alerting Capabilities
		These new capabilities will make it possible for
customers to create alerting profiles, keeping them informed of new
publications made available globally. They can customize an alert
profile to inform them of any new publication or only of those
publications within a specific subject area and they will be able to
create as many alerts as they require.

*	Shibboleth Authentication Support
		In our commitment to making SwetsWise as accessible as
possible, we have added support for the growing Shibboleth
authentication standard. SwetsWise now supports access from any
institution member of the UK Access Management Federation and in the
ensuing months we will add the support for other federations already
established around the globe.


A complete list of all the features, functionalities and technical
updates included in SwetsWise Release 5.1 has been made available for
customers inside the SwetsWise platform.
