After a change of government late last year the connection between the
proposed new research evaluation process (previously the RQF, now
renamed ERA) and repositories has diminished quite a bit. However, a few
of our libraries have been looking at the possibility of connecting the
repositories to the ongoing research evaluation process (HERDC) (yes, we
have two processes), and ARROW has sponsored some work on that. The
working groups interim report is available at:
<http://www.arrow.edu.au/docs/files/arrow-herdc-interimreport-june08.pdf>
This report looks at some of the potential models for doing this, and
the issues around it.
Cheers,
D
