Hi Jonas,
We had the same problem, which seems to be related to the new version of
shell on Macs. See
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A2=ind0711&L=FSL&P=R38116&I=-3
A workaround for us has been to point the FSL scripts using this "echo
-n" command to "/bin/echo" rather than "echo". This version of the echo
command supports the -n option.
Cheers
Stephane
