dear people
apologies if this email is of no interest/relevance to you
also, apologies for any cross-postings
I am finally embarking on my doctoral thesis exploring the experiences (both
positive and negative) of Deaf and hard of hearing university undergraduates,
postgraduates and recent graduates who work with notetakers. whilst I have been
a qualified notetaker for 11 years, my perception of notetakers is going to be
different from students' experiences. this is also to acknowledge that much
research does not involve participants in the design process.
I am attempting to find 5-6 Deaf or hard of hearing students to contribute to
a closed discussion board. the information generated will enable myself and
the co-researchers to devise a comprehensive questionnaire for other students
to complete.
the discussion board will run until 30th september 2008. co-researchers can
contribute as often as they like, at a time that is convenient.
if you are interested, or know someone who might, please read the attached info
for more details. please email me if you have any questions.
many thanks for your time
