Please find below the details of our latest contract vacancy.
This position is based with a global pharmaceutical in the South East,
it's a 6 month contract initially with excellent opportunities for
extension.
Ideally you will be able to work full time on-site although my client
will allow 1 day a week from home.
Rate are very competitive and dependant on experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Statistician is fully responsible for scientific input to
assigned studies, and for the operational aspects of these trials.
The range of studies extends from very early to late phases of
development. The Senior Statistician is also fully responsible for
effective interactions with the clinical trial teams, and may take
responsibility for entire projects.
-Provide operational oversight for all deliverables for assigned
studies, including full responsibility for timelines and quality
standards. Scope of studies may include those in very early phases of
development leading up to a proof of concept (PoC), but also the
exploratory aspects of studies in late phase projects and submissions.
-Provide scientific input and advise to study teams, and provide
guidance and leadership with respect to innovative approaches to study
design and decision making; ensure appropriate involvements of
Statistical Methodology and other internal or external statistical
consultants in all assigned trials.
-May take responsibility for entire projects, and contribute to Clinical
Development Plans for assigned projects.
-Partner with the study teams, and represent Biostatistics in review and
decision boards such as protocol review committee and PoC peer review.
-Be accountable to the TA lead statistician in the Respiratory TA and to
the global head of Biostatistics for timeliness and high quality of
deliverables in assigned trials.
-Interact with Health Authorities and external consultants and experts
as appropriate.
-Provide technical statistical leadership within the Biostatistics
group, and may serve as mentor to more junior members of staff.
-May contribute to potentially cross-functional initiatives to improve
infrastructure and efficiency.
