medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

>>i'm looking for this rare guy on line somewhere:
>>Narducci, Enrico. Catalogus codicum manuscriptorum...in Bibliotheca
Angelica... Rome, 1893.
> There are various bits of the Angelica catalogue online, but not
specifically Narducci, nor in that form. The links are on the Biblioteca
Angelica website. I was at the library last week and found that these
digitized catalogues are printed out, but unfortunately not proofread...
thanks, Bonnie!
and so quick, too.
Knowing that it is not on line qualifies you as a Know-It-All, i believe.
i'm only looking for the description of Angelic mss 1085-7, which Avril
Avril, François. “"Notes sur quelques manuscrits bénédictines normands du
XIe au XIIe siecle," Mélanges de l'Ecole française de Rome. LXXVI, 1964, pp.
490-525; LXXVII, 1965, pp. 209-248.
talks about at length (’65, pp. 237-246), making a good case that (at least
1085) was written at St. Peter of Chartres but was then sent to St. Evroul to
be illuminated[!!]. (i've never heard of such a thing.)
the beautiful illuminated "B" which Begins Augustine's Ennarationes [which,
btw, i can't find on the web anywhere, K-I-Alls] is in a style which i've
always been unable to reconcile with what little i know about Chartrain
style(s) in the later 11th c., and Avril's explanation looks good, to me.
the first description of the mss is by Narducci (1893, pp. 453-4), and i was
just trying to establish my own bonafides as a genuinely tedious Cite-It-All
by wanting to read his original thoughts on it.
where, btw, is the Angelica site?
not here
http://www.flickr.com/photos/daisyspix/173239737/
(*nice* pic, though)
nor even here, where it should be
http://biblioroma.sbn.it/angelica/
and why did the Know-Nothing who started this string spell it "Angellica"?
