Hi all, there's a new stable version up on the website, 7.14.4:
http://www.vips.ecs.soton.ac.uk/supported/7.14
This fixes a couple of crash bugs and adds some minor features, see below.
The windows build system is completely new and should feel faster.
Also, there's now (finally!) an official libvips.dll, so windows
programmers can use vips easily from their own programs. There's a
win32dev area with all the files you need to build and use vips in
your own win32 code.
The build system has been revised and is much simpler now. We got rid
of intltool and this should make vips and nip2 much easier to port.
You no longer need perl and p5-xml to build.
Details:
Fixes
- occasional crash fixed in nip2 when closing an image window
- crash fixed with command-line image vectors
- fixed rounding error in integer convolution
- small memory leak in nip2's compiler plugged
Enhancements
- read and write CMYKA tiff (thanks Doron)
- speedups to morphological operators
- support for signed histograms
- nip2's '==' did not always find the best method
- simpler build system (thanks Jay, Mikhail)
- much better windows build
See the changelogs for the full details.
