Subject: [GANM (Global Alliance for Nursing and Midwifery): Discussion] Who
**Are** We in the GANM? A few simple numbers............
As of today, June 13, 2008 at 8:00 am EDT there are:
1,571 members in the Ganm Electronic Community of Practice
FROM
130 different countries
REPRESENTING (not exclusive)
Nurses
Midwives
Traditional Birth Attendants
Physicians
Ministries of Health
Epidemiologists
Public Health Professionals
Students
Foundation Members
Press
Academics.........................
I am attaching a listing of all of the countries represented in the GANM. I
found it very interesting to get an appreciation of the "reach" of the GANM.
Information and communication technologies (ICT) are everywhere.
Finally, I am humbled and so appreciative to have friends and colleagues in
130 countries. Sharing your stories, your experiences, your pain, and your
triumphs, are what make this community such a rewarding place for me
personally.
Cheers to All,
Patti Abbott
