Hi Martin,
I just had a look at this, so apologies if the Friday feeling is making
me lose sight - but are the images in your
http://www.manchestergalleries.org/chained_reactions/a lower quality to
the ones in flicker or are they the same images? It just looked higher
in quality on flickr, to my eyes anyway.
And if it is a lower quality, was it a decision you took for a
particular reason?
Thanks.
Bilkis.

Dear All,
Following on from recent discussions about collections content on
flickr, we would like to introduce you to an exciting digital artwork
that Manchester Art Gallery has just launched - Chained Reactions. The
artwork takes you on audio-visual journeys based on objects in our
collection that are linked to the transatlantic slave trade and
incorporates visitor interpretations to these objects that are drawn
from our Chained Reactions flickr group. Having flickr as a key
component of the artwork means that the visual element of the narrative
journeys is constantly evolving as group members add more images.
Chained Reactions was created by digital developers The Believe
Collective.
Depending upon your network connection, the load time can be
significant, but we think the result is worth the wait.
