- £Neg - circa 1 Month - Start ASAP
My Client is looking to recruit a GIS skilled Data Capture Technician to
capture a backlog of planning based data.
The Client requires all properties where permitted development rights have
been removed, to be plotted onto GIS. This project has been started by
capturing all PD removed properties from 1990 to present time but we
require all the data on Microfiche from 1947 to 1990 to be captured and put
into the GIS layer.
The project will involve looking at Planning decision notices, looking at
the conditions section to see if PD rights have been removed, taking the
application number from here and putting it into the CAPS/Idox Uni-form
system to establish the correct/current address, check the planning history
and getting the new application number. This information then needs to be
input into a spreadsheet (already established) and eventually converted to
GIS (MapInfo).
The ideal candidate will be confident with Idox Uni-form,
Microfiche/microfilm and MapInfo.
All work will be required to be conducted on the Client site as they
require the microfilm to be available at all times for enquiries from the
public.
This requirement is anticipated to last up to 1 month.
