The chances are that the local newsagent was unaware that he/she was breaching DP laws. As it's a fairly minor incident - after all we all get junk mail of some description on a regular basis - I would, if I were in this situation, politely ask the newsagent not to give out any such information in future and also contact the Daily Mail asking them to remove my details from their database and not to send out any future correspondence.
