Papers:
In this special volume we welcome submissions, which investigate, explore, and explicate the roles of female entrepreneurs in local economic growth. In particular, we are interested in theoretical and empirical papers that investigate the development, survival strategies and the role of female-owned firms/industries on local economic growth in transition countries.
Papers should contain original and unpublished materials. Relevant topics include but not limited to:
* The Development of female entrepreneurship in transition countries.
* Employment within female-owned firms.
* Innovation and entrepreneurship
* Survival strategies of Female-owned SMEs.
* Entrepreneurship theories
* Knowledge management in transitional countries
* Barriers to entrepreneurship.
* Firms` participation in the global economy
* ICT and knowledge transfer within Female-owned firms.
* Government Policies on female entrepreneurship development.
Deadline:
The deadline for submission of papers is 18th July 2008. Authors will be notified of acceptance/rejection by 1st August 2008
The book will be published in the United Kingdom (2008).
Size:
Both empirical and theoretical papers are welcome. Papers should be between 4,000 - 8,000 words. For each contributors, we will need a short bio (400 words max)
