An established and world-renowned medical diagnostics company based in the beautiful Welsh countryside seek to recruit a QC Support Statistician to join their growing and successful workforce.
The role -
* Develop processes to apply statistical methods to collect, organize, analyze and interpret data
* Provide input on the use and application of statistical techniques both within and outside of the Product Quality department
* Provide support to Product Quality Department by developing processes for the application of statistical tools to aid in the collection, analysis and interpretation of data generated
* Design, develop and implement statistical models for assigned projects
* Apply various advanced statistical techniques and quality control methods to analyze different types of data
* Present results of analysis conducted along with all relevant details verbally and/or graphically to senior level staff,
* Develop and deliver successful presentations to small or large groups on the use and application of statistical methods and to provide statistical consulting
The candidate -
* Degree (or equivalent) in statistics or bio-statistics or higher, and proven experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Knowledge of advanced terms, concepts and theories related to statistics and mathematics, windows-based operating system, word-processing, spreadsheet and database applications
* Demonstrated experience in using a wide range of statistical techniques which may include multivariate regression, ANOVA, nested models, contingency tables, repeated measurements, method comparison, robust methods, hypothesis tests, sample size, bootstrapping and outlier, trending and error analysis, etc
* Proficiency with statistical packages (SAS, SPSS, Minitab, etc.)
* Strong ability to design and implement statistical models for particular data analyses and problem solving
* Immunoassay experience preferred
* Industry experience preferred
Salary - £25,000 - £28,000 + benefits, permanent position
