Dear Colleagues, this is just to inform you about two upcoming events on
evidence-based diagnostics in the UK:
Diagnostic Research Conference entitled *METHODS FOR EVALUATING MEDICAL
TESTS*, held in Birmingham UK between 24-25 July.
Details of the Symposium can be found on:
http://www.pcpoh.bham.ac.uk/publichealth/diagnostic-research/conference/index.shtml
The conference follows a *three-day Workshop on Evidence Based
Diagnostics* in Oxford organised by the Centre for Evidence Based
Medicine <www.cebm.net/http://>, held on 21st-23rd July 2008.
The workshop is open to clinicians and laboratory staff who are
interested in how to improve usage and interpretation of diagnostic
tests. It will be of particular interest to those whose work is largely
in diagnostics, such as those working in laboratory medicine and radiology.
There are some limited spaces for this workshop and details can be found on:
http://www.cebm.net/index.aspx?o=1604
Best wishes: Rita Horvath
Chair of C-EBLM of IFCC
