I am trying to understand the OTO system as I dont have any experience with it.The only reference point I have is my own experiences and that of the poeple I work with. I come from a western mysteries/dion fortune background so I have to use that as a starting point from which to try and understand what else is around me.
The System that DF worked with has changed considerably in my lifetime. It changed a lot in her lifetime. It changed in between too. It developed, certain stuffy victorian things were dropped, other things were developed and some concepts matured into something that is applicable today. I dont think there is anything wrong with that for a magical system.
I see from your comment on creed and belief that you approach the OTO work as a religion. That opens a different avenue of discussion and needs a different approach. I am trying to understand the nuts and bolts of the system that you use,how it works and how it was magically put together, not the religious creed.
