The Darwin Correspondence Project will award a prize of £1000 for the
best student essay on science and religion. The essay should use
materials from the Darwin correspondence, but need not be based
exclusively on such materials. Funding for the award has been provided
by the John Templeton Foundation. Students from any discipline and at
any stage of education may enter. The essay must be written in English
and must be between 4000 and 8000 words long. The deadline for
submissions is 1 June 2008. Further details can be found at
