Established International company at the forefront of the photogrammetry
and remote sensing market is seeking a talented individual to join their
UK office. They provide high quality, value added products and services
from digital aerial photography, satellite imagery, height data, maps and
data capture services including scanning and vectorisation to local and
central government, utility companies, civil engineers, and other GIS
Professionals.
This position would suit a person who has worked in the IT or GIS field
and is willing to gain or expand their knowledge/experience in the Aerial
Imagery industry.
Education and Experience:
Educated to a HND OR Degree level in IT/Computing/GIS or similar.
1 to 2 years work experience.
Essential Technical Skills:
Proven Database skills
Data Management
Advanced MS Access
Advanced MS Excel
Personal Skills:
Dynamic and motivated thinker.
Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail.
Strong communication skills.
Desirable Skills (Training will be provided as necessary):
GIS Applications (ArcView/Mapinfo)
Erdas Imagine
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
Previous experience or exposure to aerial photography
Description:
Your role will be to support various members of the team on a wide range
of projects. This will include:
• Database Management and Maintenance
• Data Analysis and Data Cleansing
• Performing Quality Assurance checks on deliveries
• Processing large imagery datasets
• Map Production and Imagery Management
• Reporting to the Project Manager and Directors on project progress
• Ensuring that deliveries to clients are on schedule
Training will be provided as necessary and satisfactory performance may
