OPPORTUNITY;
MUST HAVE - 2+ years Oracle Spatial 10g DBA experience.
Certified Oracle 10g DBA (OCP preferred)
Proven experience with Oracle Spatial 10g and good understanding of the SDO
data format.
Experience in Oracle Backup/Recovery methodologies and strategies; Oracle
Data Guard.
Experience tuning and troubleshooting Oracle instances
Experience installing and managing Oracle on Windows/Linux/UNIX
Experience configuring and maintaining highly scalable environments
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and able to write technical documents
Experience in Microsoft Windows 2003 Server and Microsoft IIS is preferred.
Ability to write technical specifications and reports.
Comfortable working in a high-profile consultancy role with client contact.
Experience with systems design and architecture preferred.

Additional non essential requirements
Knowledge of Oracle RAC
Understanding of OGC standard (geographic data format)
Knowledge of PL/SQL
Experience with GIS and CAD technology and software development a major
plus.

ROLE;
A qualified and experienced Oracle Spatial 10g Database Administrator who
plays a key role in the deployment of a spatial data infrastructure based
on Oracle Spatial 10g. Duties include performing database maintenance,
technical support, data loading, and supporting on going application
development. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of the Geospatial
field and geographic data formats or software development, and there are
plenty of opportunities to become involved in other work within Geospatial
as well. Candidates must be comfortable in a high-profile consultancy role
requiring direct contact with clients and have excellent communication
skills.
