Hi all,
I was wondering whether any institutions are using the 'Blackboard
Course Instructor Merge Tool' that allows instructors to merge content
from various courses/modules into one 'parent' instance?
By default, Blackboard courses are created for all active course at our
institution. However, if a lecturer teaches a group of students
collectively who register under different course codes, they will have a
separate course shell for each of these modules. We would find it very
helpful to merge some or all of such classes into a single Blackboard
course.
We have heard this may be possible using a Merge tool, accessible from
the Control Panel. (e.g. link to a New York University that uses this
tool:
http://qcpages.qc.edu/edtech/BlackBoard/InstructorCourseMergeTool.htm ).
Have any of you used this course merge tool before? If so, we would love
to hear from you about your experiences. Please feel free to contact me
directly.
Many thanks,
Fiona
P.S. We are currently using the Blackboard Learning System(tm) -
Enterprise License (7.2.383.0).
