ports/copyright-guidelines/index.html&handle=20080502-08491026>
Produced jointly in April 2008 by the British Academy and the Publishers
Association, these guidelines cover many of the issues inherent in
copyright law. Aimed at researchers and publishers in the humanities and
social sciences, they deal with issues such as what is covered by
copyright law; economic and moral rights; what constitutes an
infringement; licences, and fair dealing. However, consideration of
institutional repositories is omitted. The text is interspersed with
useful case studies to illustrate the points being made. The guidelines
are available in PDF format if you wish to download them, or HTML if you
prefer to read them online as webpages.
