I'm trying to align some DTI data to T1 structural scans. The caveat
is that I want to align the DTI to an affine transformed T1 image. Due
to potential non-linear deformations in the DTI data, I came up with
the following scheme:
(1) Use normalize tool to compute the transform for the DTI to standard space
(2) Use normalize tool to compute the transform for the T1 to standard
space and its inverse
(3) Using the deformation tool, Transform the DTI to T1 space (DTI.mat
and T1_inv.mat)
(4) Apply the linear component of the T1.mat transform to both files.
The issue I am having is that I would like to avoid resampling the DTI
data (step 3). Does anyone have any suggestions?
